Biography

Sun Weiyi, MD, graduated from the eight-year Clinical Medicine Program at Peking Union Medical College. After graduation, he worked and trained in specialized departments including Scar Repair, Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery, Rhinoplasty, Breast Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Facial and Neck Aesthetic Surgery at the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. He is currently an Associate Chief Physician. He has participated in multiple research projects, including National Key Research and Development Program special projects, Beijing Municipal Promotion Projects, district-level key projects, and institute-level key projects, and has led one project under the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. He has published multiple academic papers in SCI-indexed and core journals, and has participated in and presented at numerous domestic and international academic conferences. He has participated in the translation of several plastic surgery monographs. He has extensive clinical experience and is skilled at developing individualized and rational treatment plans based on patients' characteristics.   

Technical Expertise: Treatment of cleft lip and palate-related conditions, including repair of congenital cleft lip, cleft palate, alveolar cleft, and secondary lip and nasal deformity after cleft lip; facial plastic and cosmetic surgery, including double eyelid blepharoplasty, medial epicanthoplasty, lower blepharoplasty (eye bag removal), brow lift, facial liposuction and fat grafting, rhinoplasty, and chin augmentation, etc.; minimally invasive plastic surgery, including botulinum toxin injection, hyaluronic acid filling, and laser therapy; body contouring, such as liposuction of the trunk and limbs and autologous fat breast augmentation, etc.; lip plastic and cosmetic surgery, including lip shape adjustment, lip reduction, and lip augmentation, etc.
